BIOGRAFIE: Barbara Erni graduated from the Hochschule der Künste of Bern under Frieder Lang. She successfully completed further studies as a concert and opera singer under Hanspeter Blochwitz and at the Swiss Opera Studio in Biel. She attended various masterclasses and is currently pursuing her vocal studies with the alto Ingeborg Danz.She is in demand as a concert singer and has worked with numerous conductors at home and abroad. In 2011 and 2013 she sang under Helmut RIlling in Bach's St. John and St. Matthew Passions during the Bach Weeks in Stuttgart. Her broad repertoire embraces works from the early baroque to contemporary music. Singing Art Song is one area she considers particularly important, and she has performed several operatic roles at the Theatre of Biel-Solothurn. Barbara Erni lives with her family near Biel. Besides her activites as a concert singer she also teaches singing at the Lerbermatt Grammar School in Bern and privately. |
