BIOGRAFIE: Having first studied cello at the Conservatoire in Neuchâtel, Annina Haug went on to sutdy singing at the Royal Academy of Music in London fom 2006-2008. Further studies took her to the Lucerne University of Applied Arts (HSLU) and the Swiss Opera Studio in Biel.Annina Haug can be regulary heard as a solist ist in Switzerland. Amongst other performances, she has sung in Mozart's C minor Mass, Handel's Messiah, Bach's St John and St Matthew Passion and his B minor Mass, Dvorak's Stabat Mater and Pergolesi's Stabat Mater. Haug particularly enjoys singing in chamber music, for example in song recitals with piano, or together with her sister Meret Haug, with whom she performs as DUO HAUG. She has been seen and heard on the operatic stage in such roles as Rosina in Il barbiere di Siviglia at the Opéra du Rhône, Angelica in La Cenerentola at the Opéra des Champs Bulle, Lucretia in The rape of Lucretia at the Théâtre du Grütli in Genf, Learco in Antigona, Oreste in La Belle-Hélène and Idamante in Idomeneo at the Theater Biel/Solothurn, als Polly in The Beggar’s Opera, Melanto in Il ritorno d’Ulisse in Patria, Clotilde in Norma, Modestina in Il viaggio a Reims at the Luzerner Theater, Mamma Lucia in Cavalleria Rusticana at Opera Lyrica Neuchâtel, Jenny in La Citadelle de verre and as Blanche in Barbe-Bleue and Third Lady in The Magic Flute at the Opéra de Fribourg. |
