In antiquity there simply was no poetry without music, and as late as the 16th Century the French poet Ronsard was encouraging his peers to sing their verses. Anyone who has written poetry knows there is no higher feeling than to hear ones words set to music.


BIOGRAFIE:

Rafaël Newman is a poet, essayist and translator. Hie is the author of The Visible God: Staging the History of Money and editor of Zweifache Eigenheit, an anthology of new jewish literature in Switzerland with a critical essay. His essays appear in 3 Quarks Daily in English, in Republik in German, and in auxartsetc in French. His poetry has been published amongst others in the collection Live Long Enough, on Bestiaire Intime and on two zwei CDs.
